15TH SEPTEMBER, 2009

Little while ago, this evening, Smt. Bani Chakraborty has inaugurated our Silver Jubilee Celebration at Kala Mandir, Kolkata in a glittering function before packed house in presence of leaders of the movement.

The celebration is continuing with honouring leaders and past Office Bearers of CBIOU,  to be followed by presentation of a Bengali Drama “Furut” by Blank Verse.

24th SEPTEMBER, 2009 TALKS WITH IBA ON WAGES

IBA has fixed 24th September for next Wage-negotiation talk with UFBU at Mumbai. Outcome will be communicated.

9th SEPTEMBER, 2009, TALKS WITH IBA ON WAGES

The IBA had fixed 12th September, 2009 for the next round of Talks.  However, since the date is not convenient for a few constituent unions, we have asked for a revised date for the Talks within the next week or 10 days.  As soon as the meeting is fixed and held, we shall inform you of further developments.

5th SEPTEMBER, 2009

Silver Jubilee Indoor Games competition was successfully held in Kolkata MO. In Quiz Contest about 27 women employees participated and in the Bridge Pairs’ Competitions 30 employees participated.  The Chinese Checker was held on 12.09.09. These events generated huge enthusiasm among the Centralites.

22nd AUGUST, 2009

On the occasion of Silver Jubilee, history was recreated in the East Bengal Club ground when 42 footballers of yesteryears who played for our country and Banks participated in a exhibition football match between President CBIOU XI vs. President CBIEA XI, with celebrities from entertainment world. Sri S. Sridhar, Chairman and Managing Director of our Bank inaugurated the function and Sri Goutam Mohan Chakraborty, IPS, Commissioner of Police graced the occasion as Chief Guest with other dignitaries. Sri Sourav Ganguly, icon of Indian Cricket, though could not play encouraged his childhood favourites by his august presence. The match generated magic moment and spectators relived the glorious past of Bengal’s Football.

13TH OCTOBER, 2009, COMMENCEMENT OF BIRTH CENTENARY YEAR OF COM. PRABHAT KAR

Blood Donation Camp in aid of Thalassaemic Patient at Sree Calcutta Lohana Mahajan, 51/52, Radha Bazar Lane, B.B.D.Bag, behind Lal Bazar Police Head Quarter, Kolkata:1. Badge wearing, Garlanding of Prabhatda’s photo in Union Office and at prominent place at District Head Quarter. Mass Meeting, release of book on Prabhatda and awarding of scholarships to students from economically backward families for studies at Graduation level at 5.15 p.m. Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata.
